Q. How do I use the coloured “index” beads?
A. Each colour can represent a number. There are 10 colours and the number each colour represents in some existing colour-codes are shown in the table below. You can, of course, use any coding method you want. Because they are opaque, the beads cannot be used in the measuring process, so they can be placed anywhere along the wire. e.g. at the beginning to identify the set, date, job ref, etc. or along the length to separate / identify sections of the overall string.
